Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners place fine needles into the skin at strategic points to treat pain. It is believed that the body has over 2,000 acupuncture points connected by pathways, or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (Qi, pronounced "chee") through the body that is responsible for our overall health. The needles can be manipulated manually or stimulated with a small electrical current (electroacupuncture).
Acupressure and Acupuncture are key component in traditional Chinese medicine. They are used most commonly to treat pain and have been in use in some form for at least 2,500 years. Gaining popularity worldwide since the 1970s, they are being used for overall wellness, stress management & lots more.
